Jason Tham speaks about his next series Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond; “This show is going to be a wild ride from start to finish with a-lot of heart-stopping moments

Mumbai, 01 May 2024 (UTN). Actor Jason Tham will be next seen in Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond, he is portraying the role of special agent Victor in the series. Jason says, "What was special about Victor's role was that he got to witness the brain behind the operation Balakot and the Pulwama attack. From the team formation, to the idea of the operation, the decision taken in the war room to the final execution - He was not only actively involved but contributed to the success of the operation.” Sharing about his preparation for the role he adds,”I was portraying a special agent who was undercover for 3 years with Maoists. Someone who had killed 7 Maoists in one night. Victor is a cold blooded killer and joined the military intelligence unit under Kashyap’s (Jimmy Shergill) team. To execute this role I had put on some muscle weight which included regular workouts and a special diet.   We have seen enough series and films on Balatkot and Pulwama attacks already, how is this series going to be different from the rest? When asked Jason says, "Nowadays, There are a lot of remakes but what stands out is the director's vision of portraying the film. Our Director has captured the essence of the story and literally, brought it to life on screen. I was particularly impressed on my first day of shooting. Our director Santosh Singh had clearly instructed the cast that since it’s a war room sequence where everything will mostly be informative and verbal, he would like to achieve long, one take shots with super pacey dialogues so that it doesn’t break the flow. To achieve this we used to rehearse at least 5-8 times before the shot. This show is going to be a wild ride from start to finish. With a-lot of heart-stopping moments. I won’t say anything further, just Grab your popcorn because it’s going to be a roller coaster ride of emotions.   In the series Jimmy Shergill is playing an important role, incidentally Jason and Jimmy have shared screen earlier in the film Happy Phir Bhag Jayegi. Sharing more on their camaraderie Jason says, "With Jimmy sir we already had a bond. This show was no less, We bonded right away when we met on the set of Ranneeti. He's very humble without any attitude. I remember him helping me to give a different flavour to elevate the scene. I admire his thought process. He used to really go on about how I should post more videos on social media and make it viral. For which he literally took my phone and shot a reel for me. I really admire him as a friend and look up to him.   Sharing about his biggest take away from Ranneeti, Jason says,”We all know about the Pulwama attack and the Balakot air-strike, but no one knows what went behind the operation. एक्ट्रेस सीरत कपूर का कहना है कि "साउथ एक्ट्रेस के रूप में पहचाने जाने के चलते हिंदी सिनेमा में प्रोजेक्ट के ऑफर्स मिलने में परेशानियां हुई है

Daily soaps are a blessing: Seerat Kapoor

Mumbai, 30 April 2024 (UTN). Seerat Kapoor, who is currently seen as Mannat in Prateek Sharma’s Studio LSD’s Rabb Se Hai Dua, believes that daily soaps are a blessing for any actor because they give them instant fame and make them a household name. She said, “I believe that for an actor, daily soaps are a blessing. Not only because of the regular income but also because of the things you learn during this time. The kind bonds you create and the kind relationship that you build with the audience are precious.”   However, she agrees that working around the clock can sometimes take a toll on an actor’s health, but she believes a positive approach, a healthy diet, and proper rest can be helpful. “The daily grind of daily soaps does put a strain on our health, especially because we don’t get the time to exercise daily. And with the changing weather, we have to eat right, drink a lot of water, and take proper rest. I try and walk on the sets in between my takes just to keep my body in rhythm,” Seerat said.   But what about night shoots? “We are lucky that we haven’t had many night shoots in this show yet; it would be much more difficult for me as I am not a night owl. Even in my personal life, I prefer to go to bed on time,” she said.   Seerat also shared that daily soap is a full-time job and sometimes getting holidays is quite tricky, but she is happy to be working with some amazing co-actors who make it all worthwhile. Daily soap is pretty hectic since it’s a 12 hour work schedule, but when you love your work so much, you find it exciting and challenging. Producer Rahul Kumar Tewary talks about his popular show Udne Ki Aasha

Mumbai, 30 April 2024 (UTN). Rahul Kumar Tewary, whose brand new show Udne Ki Aasha is being loved by all on TV, shares the feedback he has been getting after a successful launch. "It started with a positive response from everyone, including industry friends and critics. Now, after 6 weeks, even the viewers are liking the show. The ratings are good and stable even during the IPL. That’s a big relief. Now we are hoping that the ratings will go up in the near future." He also adds, "The best compliment I have got so far is that the show is very relatable and real to the middle-class households; it resonates with them. We embarked to do realistic shows, and I think we have kind of achieved that. And we will continue doing that.” Sharing about what we can expect from the show, Rahul says, “Sachin and Sailee just got into a marriage which they did not want.   So two people who never wanted to get married in the first place will start living under one roof. I think that is an interesting twist to the whole story.” Rahul also shares how he is enjoying the journey as a maker. He says, “It’s a very different setup, but I am enjoying the new journey. After so many shows which I have made, this show feels like the first, and that's why I am enjoying the whole process. It’s a very good feeling.”   On asking about the future of Rahul Kumar Tewary Production, he says, "We are in discussion with other broadcasters. It is easier to evoke tears than laughter: Binaiferr Kohli

Mumbai, 30 April 2024 (UTN). Laughing is infectious, but crying is not, and while making someone laugh is difficult, making someone shed a tear is a tad bit easier. Ace producer Binaiferr Kohli, who, along with her husband Sanjay Kohli, under their banner Edit II, has produced shows like Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain!,Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, F.I.R and May I Come In Madam, to name a few, feels that it’s difficult to make comedy shows as compared to shows in other genres. She said, “Comedy shows are extremely tough to produce on TV. It is easier to evoke tears than laughter. It's not merely about depicting someone falling or poking fun at individuals. Such approaches are inappropriate. Instead, it's about crafting witty lines and engaging one-on-one interactions to captivate viewers, preventing them from changing channels.”   “Achieving this requires a team of skilled writers, directors, and actors. Our shows have endured for years, a rarity in today's landscape, thanks to the power of teamwork,” she added including the Network Team.   She credits the creative team for coming up with new and fresh concepts and said, “They are both creators and magicians. Among them are my husband, Sanjay Kohli, Shashank Bali, Monoj Santoshi, Harshada Potnis and Raghuvir Shekawat.”   Binaiferr feels that comedy has evolved over the years, necessitating adaptation to contemporary tastes, and added, “Failure to evolve risks obsolescence; repeating past successes isn't sustainable. Eventually, audiences will perceive it as outdated. Therefore, evolution and adaptation are essential.”   And what about the USP of your shows? “Our USP lies in our role as creators. Our shows are like our babies. Luck might open doors for you, but it’s your hard work and determination that truly matter: Shubhangi Atre

Mumbai, 30 April 2024 (UTN). The entertainment industry is quite unpredictable, and luck plays a huge role in bagging opportunities. But is it only luck that takes an actor's place? Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! actor Shubhangi Atre strongly disagrees. She feels it’s an actor’s hard work and determination that enable them to climb up the ladder to success.   “I believe in luck, but I see it as more of a chance-giver. Luck might open doors for you, but it’s your hard work and determination that truly matter. I think luck contributes about 40%, while the remaining 60% comes from your effort, consistency, and dedication,” she said.   Well, it’s not just luck that Shubhangi believes in. She also strongly believes in the power of manifestation, and practices it every day. She added, “However, it’s not just about wishing for something and waiting for it to happen; you need to put in effort too. If your intentions are pure and your hard work matches your desires, manifestation can truly work wonders. I believe that cosmic energies play a role in helping us achieve our goals.”   Shubhangi also shared that her entry in the industry was nothing less than magical. “I auditioned in Pune and ended up shooting in Mumbai right away. Initially, I lacked experience and confidence in acting, but luck gave me a big break with a prime time show called Kasturi within just one month. Despite being a beginner, I learned and improved over time through hard work, dedication, and observation,” she said.   “I believe in the power of positive energy and the concept of manifesting our desires strongly, as mentioned in The Secret. My entry into Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai was another sudden opportunity, and despite the responsibility of replacing someone, I embraced it with hard work and dedication. I’ve learned that putting positive effort into anything yields results,” she added.   While Shubhangi feels that education is not very important in the industry, she shared her personal experience and said, “Even though my MBA isn’t directly related to my profession, it has helped me with multitasking, time management, and financial management. It’s an added benefit to my overall personality. I think completing your education is important because it exercises your brain and enhances your skills.”   And do you believe goodwill and references make a difference? “Goodwill and references truly matter. The most important thing is to be kind, a good person, and extremely professional. In our industry, everything seems to revolve around word of mouth, which makes reputation crucial,” she said.   “Consistency, punctuality, and professionalism leave a lasting impression. I remember when I was working with Rajshri Productions, the late Raj Barjatya told me that being a good human is as important as being a good actor in this industry.
