Puru Chibber on response of Udne ki Aasha: People are enjoying the show
Mumbai, 07 June 2024 (UTN). Actor Puru Chibber, who plays the role of Tejas in the Rahul Tewary and Rolling Tales Production, says that the audiences are loving his character. He adds that the entire team is working very hard. “Everything has been going really well, and I think people are enjoying it. So, I'm happy. I think all of us are happy with how things are improving. It's a good thing. Fingers crossed. The audience is loving it, and that makes me very happy. We're all giving our heart and soul to this, performing honestly. That's the key point of making a TV series: if the audience likes it or loves it, that's what matters,” he says. Talking about the shoot, he says, “There are always interesting incidents on set. I have a unique relationship with Sachin and Aakash when they come on set; we greet each other in a very boyish way. Strangely, Renuka and I have a different relationship. We talk a lot and share many things. Baba and I have a playful dynamic, especially when one of us has an early wrap-up and the other has to stay late. We tease each other about it. Roshani, who plays the role opposite me, is a fantastic actor and a very sweet person. We hit it off immediately, and I hope that shows on screen. Fans seem to love the chemistry between Sachin and me; it's like Tom and Jerry, which everyone loves. It's wonderful to hear that fans appreciate our on-screen relationship. Recently, Radhika, who plays Renuka (my aai), gave Sachin and me a cake from a famous bakery in Mahim because she loved our performances in a particular scene. It was very sweet of her.” Talking about the track, he adds, “Right now, the track has become more interesting since Tejas has returned, and Roshni is now opposite me. Playing different moods with different characters like Roshni, Sachin, and Renuka is very exciting. I feel like Tejas has a lot to do, and that's a good thing.” Mumbai-Reporter, (Hitesh Jain).

Who plays the role of Renuka Deshmukh in Rahul Tewary and Rolling Tales Production’s "Udne Ki Aasha
Mumbai, 07 June 2024 (UTN). “A daily soap is difficult to manage. The term ‘daily soap’ itself implies that you have to shoot daily, with challenging work schedules. With seven days of telecast, it's really difficult. I almost take an hour with the traffic and everything. But still, Film City is a nice place to shoot. I've been shooting for daily soaps for more than 25 years now, so I am very comfortable with the TV medium. You have to make an effort to manage your house, your family, and your work. It is difficult. At times, it is hectic. I cook my food early in the morning and carry all three meals with me as far as possible. I don't eat outside food. So, yes, doing all these things by yourself and then working for 12 hours is difficult. But I’m enjoying it, I am managing it, and I am proud that I can manage this and am very happy,” she says. However, daily soaps are a constant source of income, she says, “You get good money. Hard work pays off. You do have to sacrifice a few things, but what you get in return is much more important and fruitful. I am comfortable working in daily soaps, in fact, I am comfortable working in all mediums now. But yes, TV is my medium, so it's my comfort zone. Some actors dislike being labelled a TV actor. I don’t know. To each their own. But I'm an actor. I'm a performer. I have been doing Marathi theatre and stage for years. There is no label as such. I am an actor, a stage actor, a TV actor. I have done a number of ad films and films. The medium is just a medium, but acting remains the same. So, whoever labels me, it doesn’t matter. An actor, at the end of the day, is an actor, a performer. You have to run a house, be busy, and be seen. So, to sum it up, it doesn’t matter much to me,” she says. She adds, “The best part of working in television is that you work daily. You don't have to sit and wait for work. You are seen every day and recognized every day. When I go out, people know me and recognize me. What else could you want? The best part is you're working every day. I don't differentiate between TV and other mediums. I will never say the best part of working in TV is this and the best part of working in ad films or films is that. The best part is that you keep on working. That's the best thing.” Mumbai-Reporter, (Hitesh Jain).

Actually, I recorded the song a few years ago, but I remember that when I first heard it, I loved its simplicity, and that's what made me say yes to it!” “This was my first visit to Kashmir, and I've always wanted to shoot something there. I didn't just want to visit and see the sights on my own; I’ve always wanted to explore Kashmir while working there and my dream just came true!” enthuses Paras Kalnawat. Sharing her experience, Kanika Shharma imparts. “We laughed and danced a lot, and the camaraderie was next-level. We named it Kaarigiri, which means craftsmanship: Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi on his new restaurant
Mumbai, 07 June 2024 (UTN). Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi has opened his new restaurant in Delhi, which is called Karigari. He says the restaurant honours food craftsmanship, and he envisioned it to share a story. He wanted not just the food but also the interior to connect with the people, and it finally came to life. It was during the first wave of COVID, that he started interacting with a group of people from Delhi who were working on a new concept and planning to open a chef-driven restaurant. However, when the pandemic hit, the discussions slowed down, and they feared the hospitality industry was doomed. But his investors were still keen on exploring the opportunity and building a brand. “They were scouting for a location, and between the first and second waves of COVID, I traveled to Delhi. We secured a place and finalized the concept, exchanging ideas back and forth. I shared my vision of creating a restaurant that honors craftsmanship and storytelling, where every dish has a story. This idea became the backbone of our restaurant. We defined every aspect of the restaurant around this vision: it should feel emotional, connect with people, honor craftsmanship, and make people fall in love with the art of food,” he said. “We worked with our interior designer to include elements that would evoke a sense of awe and uniqueness. As we wrote down and refined our ideas, we realized we were ready to build the restaurant. We named it Kaarigiri, which means craftsmanship, to honor food craftsmen from both our country and around the world,” he added. It was also during COVID that Chef Harpal thought of building a new concept for a restaurant. He knew from the beginning that it would not be a multi-cuisine restaurant, and focused on Indian food, potentially pan-Indian, with a unique differentiator: storytelling for each dish. “Each dish was carefully chosen, and the menu was crafted to include food from various sources: my mother's kitchen, my wife's kitchen, my father's cooking, my mother-in-law's kitchen, and legacy restaurants with special dishes. Additionally, the menu features dishes from my shows, Turban Tadka and Desh Da Swaad, as well as contributions from vendors I met along my journey,” he said. “We combined all these elements to create a diverse and compelling menu. Each dish has a story, a quirky name, and an interesting background. When you dine at my restaurant, I encourage you to spend time reading the menu. This is where the differentiation begins, as the menu is the first selling tool you encounter. From there, you can take in the interiors and other unique aspects of the restaurant,” he added. When it comes to the menu, Chef Harpal and his team were particular about fitting popular tastes. He said, “While our dishes might have quirky names, they ultimately suit Indian palates. We offer items like Kulche Chole Pockets, Pav Bhaji, Mirchi Ka Halwa, Swad Raat Wali Kheer, and a unique White Butter Chicken. One standout dish is Duhra Gucci Mushroom, which uses three types of mushrooms and two different flavors and gravies.” He added that many dishes are inspired by various regions and legacy places, for example, they have Deenanath Maharaj Ki Tamatar Wali Chaat, inspired by a famous chaat vendor in Banaras. Their beverages feature rose extracts from a person in Bikaner, and many of their breads come from his mother's kitchen, adding a personal touch. “The menu is well thought out, with flavors and textures that suit the ambiance. I was clear from the beginning that we didn't just want to open restaurants in Delhi; we aimed to expand to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities as well. While we might tone down the interior design in these cities, our focus remains on being relevant to local tastes. This careful consideration of taste and flavor profiles is key to Kaarigiri's expansion and success,” he concluded. Mumbai-Reporter, (Hitesh Jain).

It's basically a musical love story: Shivangi Verma on Tera Ishq Mera Fitoor
Mumbai, 07 June 2024 (UTN). Shivangi also shared her views on bold scenes these days that are common in web series. She said executing such scenes depends a lot on the co-actor, and she did not face any problems as far as being comfortable was concerned. “Yes, I have done it, and honestly, I was very comfortable because it totally depends on your co-actor as well, and I was totally blessed with it. He was really comfortable to work with; in fact, he made me comfortable, and the director, the producer, and everybody else were there on the set, and they kind of created an environment to make both of us feel comfortable, so it was not like a zabardasti, but it was part of the story, and we did it smoothly and beautifully, and I am sure the audience will love it because they enjoyed doing it, so it was great,” she said. She further shared that the shooting went like a breeze. She said, “It was really interesting to meet the cast; it was interesting to shoot the story with them, and we did the entire shoot outdoors, so we were in Igatpuri, and we had a great time; we had a blast. We used to shoot, and then we used to chill together. I think all these were really interesting for me.” She is all praise for the channel and the channel heads, and she calls herself a big fan of them. “When I started working, I got the chance to meet Nivedita Basu and Vibhu Agrawal, who own the Atrangii channel. I think they are wonderful people to work with,” she said. What are your expectations from the show? “In December 2023, when I was in the States, I got a call from Kadambari, the creative. She explained to me about the show; she told me about the cast and all of it related to the show, so I was pretty interested and excited because I really liked the story, and for that, I traveled from the States to India. So my expectations are big because the story is really empowering, it is so relatable, and it is going to give you goosebumps,” she said. “We have done a lot of hard work, the trailer has been out already, and people are already loving my character. The show is releasing on June 7th, so I am looking forward to it. I have gotten a lot of DMs and have gotten a lot of appreciation, so I have a strong feeling that it is going to do good and big,” she ended. Mumbai-Reporter, (Hitesh Jain).

Actor Anubhav Srivastava talks about his series Paurashpur 3
Mumbai-Reporter, (Hitesh Jain). Actor Anubhav Srivastava whom we have seen in popular shows like Pavitra Rishta and Adaalat talks about his role Yashodhan in Altt Balaji’s popular series ‘Paurashpur 3’. Sharing details about the king Yashodhan he says, ”What made me do this project was the character sketch of the King and his journey from a young charming Prince to a mad King. The layers and change of emotions in the character is very interesting. His madness to run a kingdom and his personal self interest to kill anyone who comes in his way is unique. These layers speak a lot about my character. For preparation we had a look test and script narration by the director and his team. They told me this will be an interesting character to portray and showcase our talent. They were convinced that I will pull this character the way they thought . So, I followed my director’s vision and the result in front of us.” The actor also feels Paurashpur franchise has its own fan following and one should not compare it with any other series or film. There are times when it has been compared with ‘Baahubali’. On this, he says, ”Honestly you can’t compare the two. They are two different things. Baahubali was an elaborate set with huge costs and budget involved and it was shown on a larger than life canvas. That happens when you shoot a film. Here we had budget constraints with limited things. Despite constraints, we did a good show. Paurushpur is a different brand and it has its own audience and they like the spice it gives.” The actor also shares how he feels about the royal and grand set of the series. He says, ”The makers made a grand King Darbar where the King resides and rules the kingdom. That particular scene and the throne I sat on was massive and the look was very appealing. It genuinely made me feel like a king and act like one. Audience will see the throne with a 3 eyed snake where I am sitting and it looks fabulous. The spice, drama, betrayal and the story is a great mix. It continues with a lot of twists and turns in future episodes and you see the King’s madness unleash on screen as he starts to rule the way he wanted. The message conveyed in this series is to win something you have to lose something.” Anubhav who has worked with Ekta Kapoor in the past showers praises on the talented producer. He says, ”She has been a major force behind this show. In fact for all her tv shows, movies and web shows. She makes it a point that whatever she produces is genuinely appreciated by her audience and that is what makes her one of the best and leading producers in current times. She has an eye for content and knows what works. Balaji shows have been a brand and in the process made so many careers and actors. The role they get to perform touches the heart and soul of the audience.” Mumbai-Reporter, (Hitesh Jain).
